agreed. do it on a week night... or do it 3am pst or something.

but, then again... they prob want to try to appease the euro players... so a weeknight makes more sense all the way.

make sure you ran it from the BFBC2Updater. Make sure you up to date. What is your user name?

haha... this is battlefield 3 ronak. no way they're making a similar game in the SAME time setting for another half dozen years.

the next game will be another 2142 type game... then another return trip to the 1940's/vietnam... then another current day game.... but it'll be another 5-6 years before we see another modern day one, so this is it.

LOL .... I hear ya Bardo, I did not have a good first time experience that's all. If we all remember, I'm the one who hated B2 when it was released, my opinion changed rapidly after about a month of playing B2. I logged in to our server last night and couldn't even take a look around without playing the kill/spawn session repeatedly for a constant 5-10 minutes and logged off and went home sobbing. Oh, but I will be back looking for retribution here soon.....LOL!!! Thanks for the positive response Bardo, and I would
like to apoligize for my negativity pertaining to BBC2 already ....... My vid card seems fine tho, but my CPU may need some attention, shitty.....

ronak,

i played about 12-14 hours on the beta (demo)... and it took until the 8th hour until i finally figured out what i should be doing and started to hold my own. i still get my ass kicked from time to time, esp. maps i'm not familiar with.

a lot of games like this has to do with situational awareness. when you're trying to pay attention to small details, you miss the larger details of battle and get whooped. the more you get used to the new mechanics/maps/gameplay, the more you'll be able to put yourself in the right positions and hold your own too.

this game is quite a bit more realistic than bf2 and it takes much less hits to die... so errors are magnified.

i hear ya on bf2. when it first came out i was bummed. none of the servers worked and it didn't seem as fun as desert combat. but, it grew on me. i now love bf2, but its pushing 5 years already. bf2 was released 6/21/05 and we all thought 2142 might be the next best thing and we eagerly awaited it's release on 10/18/06 (barely a year after bf2 was released... bad timing). well, personally i think a lot of people have been waiting these 3 1/2 years waiting for the "next" bf2.....

its sorta like "golden eye" for the n64. one of the greatest fps's ever made in most people's minds. the same makers then made "perfect dark" which was i thought a better game, but people didn't catch on as much (like 2142 vs. bf2). and well, there has never been a game quite like golden eye. it was perfect for its time, but its time passed.

i think bf2 was about as perfect as a fps could be made during its time, but thanks to the popularity of call of duty modern warfare... fps's have evolved and we'll likely never see another game like bf2 again. it just shows how great that game was/is. i wish it weren't so, and i'm not saying that bf2 is dead... but its 5 years old and new fps's are just going in a different gameplay direction. so join the bandwagon ronak!

I was pretty frustrated with the learning curve too. Since I've earned a few unlocks, and learned hot to play better it is getting to be a lot more fun.

I sucked at all infantry so I became a armor hog. Then I was able to stay alive for a while and rack up some points.

Squad play is a requirement. there are no squad leaders and you can spawn on any live member of your squad. The squads are limited to 4 members.

There are no all of the vehicles are vulnerable. The helicopter is missing the TV guided bomb. The TOW takes two shots to kill a tank.

There is a bunch more stuff too! I'm starting to enjoy playing a lot more. Hope you enjoy it too.

I was able to log on tonight with only a few soldiers lurking, looks awsome for sure and I seemed to be able to run the game not to badly. See how it runs with the server more populated. And again, it looks awsome ......

I like my new avatar, let me know if ya'll find it to offensive, or maybe, it's just to distracting  :good: ............ it's good eh?
